Chris Kemp

Chris is a Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB), a distinction that reflects his commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards in the marine industry. Passionate about helping clients find the right boat for their lifestyle, Chris strives to make every buying and selling experience enjoyable, transparent, and rewarding. 

In addition to yacht brokerage, Chris holds a Property & Casualty Insurance License and maintains a brokerage relationship with Global Marine Insurance, allowing him to provide clients with convenient, comprehensive guidance on yacht purchases as well as marine insurance. His well-rounded industry knowledge enables him to simplify the process and serve as a trusted resource from start to finish. 

Originally from Omaha, Chris grew up in St. Louis, where his love of boating began. With three major rivers nearby and frequent trips to the Lake of the Ozarks, he spent countless days on the water. Time spent with his grandfather in Florida further fueled his passion through fishing, boating, and coastal adventures. 

In 2015, Chris moved to California, where he met his wife, Jessica, a Maine native whose family has spent six generations summering in Tenants Harbor. That deep family connection inspired the couple to make Maine their home in 2018, where Chris has built his career in the yachting industry and developed a deep appreciation for the state’s vibrant boating community. 

When he’s not helping clients achieve their boating dreams, Chris enjoys spending time on the water with Jessica and their two young daughters. Whether paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, yachting, or simply exploring Maine’s beautiful coastline, boating isn’t just Chris’s profession—it’s a way of life.
