Bryan is a passionate mariner with over 15 years of professional experience on the water. He holds a USCG 100-ton Master Captain license and a PADI Divemaster certification and has worked extensively as a yacht captain and delivery skipper. His diverse background and hands-on expertise make him uniquely qualified to guide clients through the yacht buying and selling process.
Bryan’s maritime journey began on Block Island, RI, where he lived aboard and sailed his 1969 Bristol 24 while working at a local marina and boatyard during his summers at the University of Maine. After graduating, he spent a winter as a crew member in the Caribbean, which sparked his passion for offshore sailing. He went on to earn his USCG license and spent the next six years skippering sailing yachts throughout the Caribbean, from the Cayman Islands to Grenada.
After his time in the Caribbean, Bryan returned to New England, where he worked as a Captain, Engineer, and Delivery Skipper focused on power vessels. Over the years, he completed over a dozen East Coast yacht deliveries as captain and crew between New England, the Bahamas, and Florida. This experience, combined with more than seven years of cruising the Caribbean, has given him deep insight into the diverse needs of yacht owners and the nuances of handling various types of vessels.
In 2019, Bryan purchased a Southern Cross 39, which he refit before embarking on a year-long family cruising sabbatical. The journey took them from Maine to the Bahamas and back to Mystic, Connecticut, completing offshore passages in both directions.
Whether you’re buying your first yacht, looking to upgrade, or seeking expert advice on buying or selling, Bryan is committed to providing a friendly, informed, and seamless yacht transaction experience. His hands-on approach, wealth of experience, and passion for yachting make him an ideal partner in navigating the world of yacht ownership.
