One of our brokers, Tim Kohl from our Portsmouth, RI office, recently took the brand new, recently launched J112E for a spin and he had some thoughts on the matter…
“I had a chance to sail the new J 112e with four clients and Al Johnstone last Saturday.
The boat far exceeds expectations. I was blowing 15 to 20 with 2 to 3 foot waves. The balance on the boat was exceptional. Drivers were feeling little helm. Downwind the boat has a huge chute. 134 sq. meters. We were doing up to 12.5 knots without a hint of roll even with the less experienced drivers. The J112E has an option for a 6 or 7 ft keel and an aluminum or carbon mast.”
