East Coast Yacht Sales (ECYS) is looking for an experienced marine technician to assist in commissioning, handover, and after-sales service for our new boat brands. This candidate should have 3-5 years of hands-on experience working, troubleshooting, and servicing our customers who have purchased new boats. The primary brands this candidate will work on are Axopar, Sirena Yachts, Targa boats, and J/boats.
This position will require someone skilled in boat handling and a technician to help ensure our customers have an excellent experience delivering their new boat and support them after delivery. While this position is based in Yarmouth, ME, there will be some travel via supplied service vehicles to customers’ boats.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining inventory owned by ECYS in the general area
- Commissioning new boats
- Prepping new boats for delivery to the owner
- Traveling to customer boats for after-sales warranty and service
- Assisting with setup for boat shows in our service area
- Transporting boats via land or water as needed
Skills required include:
- Technical knowledge of general marine systems
- Strong DC/AC electrical knowledge
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Experience with yacht maintenance
- Proficiency in boat handling
- Ability to drive a boat trailer
- Experience delivering boats
- Strong communication skills
